Flatbush’s own Melo-X decided to try his hand at remixing Kilo Kish’s “Navy”; and, as usual, took it to a new level. With his acclaimed remixes of albums such as Maxwell’s BLACKsummers’night, it’s no wonder his remix of this mellow, nostalgia-inducing track would be just as dope. The chill tone of Kilo's voice over this mesmerizing beat evokes that "night on the town" feel. Her background in other areas of art including painting and visual art definitely shows up in the free spirit feel of her music. The best way I would describe this synthesized remix is a controlled intense high. It seems to mimic one: Fast and trippy in the beginning, less intense and reflective in the middle, then back to earth at the end.
