"Time flies, two hundred years ago our mommas were slaves. Tick tock, as I glance at my red G-shock, the flow Shock G's like Tupac."
You can't help but want to root for Dee-1. The New Orleans native took the internet by storm a few years back with his thoughtful, poignant call to action in his song, "Jay, 50, & Weezy." It's awesome seeing this track come to fruition, as Dee-1 teams up with two icons in the game, DJ Mannie Fresh and Yasiin Bey. I was dissapointed to hear that Yasiin didn't actually rap on the track, he just added in some lazy background vocals and ad-libs at the end of the track. Hopefully this is indicative of more collaborations to come between these three. Y'all know Bey moved to New Orleans, right?
